Every day, people with disabilities are making progress in their journey to lead valuable and meaningful lives. We, at the Accessibility Bridge Corporation, want to ensure they are supported in their efforts by showing that we appreciate and value their contributions and achievements . To recognize the efforts of people with disabilities, Accessibility Bridge Corporation celebrates deserving individuals by recognizing them through our Crossing Bridges awards.
Do you know a differently-abled individual who has recently achieved a milestone or a goal that they have diligently been working on? Maybe they have defied the odds with bravery and strength, landed their first job, got an amazing internship, rented their own apartment, or got accepted into a trade school; we want to celebrate it all! Bridges come in different sizes and it’s not the size of the bridge that matters, it’s the fact that a bridge has been crossed and they are on their way to better things.
We keep the nomination process relatively simple by initially asking for their name, what achievement was made and why you think they deserve recognition. Should your nominee be selected, you will be contacted for the mailing information of your nominee.
Nominations are ongoing and you may nominate multiple people. A selection committee from our nonprofit will decide which nominees will receive an acknowledgement and awards are given yearly at our annual Evening of Disability Acceptance Event.
