The mission of Accessibility Bridge, a nonprofit organization, is to promote inclusion and create access for people with disabilities in every area of their community. We encourage and empower people with disabilities to integrate into society by connecting them with resources and communities that makes this integration possible.
We provide resources and programs to people with disabilities seeking increased levels of independence and inclusion in the areas of education, independent living, employment, athletics, and social skills.
We do this by partnering with and supporting communities and organizations to help build knowledge and capacity to support people with disabilities by developing programming, implementation plans, data collection and monitoring systems that will improve desirable outcomes in inclusive settings.
To be an active ally facilitating positive change, inclusion practices and the enthusiasm needed to support those who are disabled in their independence-driven endeavors with respect to employment, housing, education, athletics, social systems, and healthcare.
We believe in helping people with disabilities enhance their skills and create opportunities that lead to increased independence, stability and growth. We focus on supplemental resources (when needed) and advocacy when resources or opportunities are either inadequate or unreasonable. We are guided in this work by the personal experiences of the leaders, staff and volunteers of Accessibility Bridge and the connections we have throughout the disability community.
We are strengthened through partnerships with other providers, agencies, foundations, businesses, individuals, educational programs/institutions, corporations and nonprofits. We collaborate with these resources, and other community assets, to offer programs and provide resources that are effective and fiscally sound.
Accessibility Bridge has signature initiatives housing smaller programs that focus on community engagement and education, athletics and inclusion.
What makes Accessibility Bridge unique is that our model of service delivery is powered by the variety of inclusive resources that we've strategically pieced together. The passion behind the mission and the lifetime-vested interest that the founder has with the inclusion movement is evident by the standards of excellence and best practices, the environment in which our staff and volunteers can grow, contribute their best efforts and value their investment in our mission that will ensure that no person with a disability is left behind.
