Volunteering for the Accessibility Bridge Corporation
Volunteers are a critical resource for Accessibility Bridge Corporation and we depend on our volunteers to run programming, raise funds, and serve our clients. Check out our opportunities below to find a volunteer opportunity that suits your interests and expertise. There are many ways that you can volunteer, and a few options are listed below. While monetary donations are always valued, time and effort is just as important to us.
Contact us at volunteer@accessibilitybridge.com if you’re looking for volunteering opportunities for yourself, your group, or your organization.
Did you know?
· Many charitable nonprofits have no paid staff and are run entirely by volunteers.
· Volunteering can have positive effects on a volunteer's mental health!
· Did you know that it's possible to volunteer virtually?
1. Mentoring Program
Accessibility Bridge Corporation is recruiting volunteers for our mentoring program. All mentors must complete a quick application and upon acceptance will receive an email containing expectations and any follow-up questions that we may have, and at least a 6–hour commitment over the course of 3 months. Volunteering for the mentoring program is done remotely via video chat, phone calls, email, and regular mail.
2. Serve on a committee
If your talents are administrative, or if you have executive or board experience, your knowledge and insights are welcomed. Please contact us at volunteer@accessibilitybridge.comto see which committees need assistance.
Some fun and helpful ideas!
1. Organize a Yard Sale, activity or event for Charity
If your talents lie in business, administration, or marketing, consider organizing a yard sale, girls night in, family fun night, company donation fundraiser, or any event dedicating the proceeds to the Accessibility Bridge Corporation.
2. Use Your Voice
Visit us on Facebook, twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Share our information and stories that tell your friends about all the great work that we do, and our events and other ways they too can become involved.
